New Year...New Name...Same Great Team

New Year

Happy New Year to all of our wonderful patients, family, and friends!

New Name

2022 is bringing big changes for our practice, and we are thrilled to announce our transition to Winyah Dental Group. We are still the same great local office that has been providing professional, personalized dental care to our community for over a decade.

Same Great Team

Dr. Brandon Rinehart, DMD, opened his general dentistry practice, Rinehart Dentistry, in November 2011. He leads a team of professionals that pride themselves on high-quality dental care, coupled with a friendly, pleasant atmosphere to help keep patients at ease during their visit.

A Murrells Inlet native, Dr. Rinehart is an alum of both the University of South Carolina and the Medical University of South Carolina. After graduation from MUSC, he began working in the field at his father's oral surgery practice in 2010, focusing on oral surgery, facial trauma, and facial plastics.

"I fell in love with the dental field working for my father," he says. "Before this, I was extremely interested in architecture and mechanical engineering. I didn't realize until I was actively involved in dental school that it was the perfect combination of science, engineering, physics, and art that I would come to know and love."

Dr. Rinehart is joined by Dr. Blake Burnett, a Pawleys Island local with a love for his community. Dr. Burnett received his degree in dental medicine from MUSC after completing his undergraduate degree at the College of Charleston. He spent a year at the University of Florida, where he earned an Advanced Education in General Dentistry degree. Dr. Burnett has been serving the surrounding community with Winyah Dental Group (formerly Rinehart Dentistry) since 2015 and recently became a partner in the practice.

The practice is thrilled to add a new addition to the team with Dr. Hunter Freitas, a Citadel grad with a degree in dentistry from MUSC. Dr. Freitas joined the practice in the fall of 2020 after relocating from his hometown of Dillon, SC, and has quickly settled into the Lowcountry lifestyle in our Georgetown office.

The team at Winyah Dental Group practices general and cosmetic dentistry and provides many specialty procedures, such as root canals, implants, TMJ treatment, and extractions.

State of the Art Family-Owned Dental Practice

Over the last decade, we have grown to be one of our area's most technologically advanced practices. The practice currently provides 3D cone beam CT scanning technology, which produces 3D scans of the head and neck in the office in under a minute. But at Winyah Dental Group, it's more than providing the latest technology; it's about giving the utmost care, compassion, and trust to their patients.

"Changing our patients' self-confidence and having a positive impact on people by enhancing their smile is incredible," says Dr. Burnett. "Our philosophy is to treat patients like friends and family, and the rest will take care of itself!"

New opportunities are upon us as the office just launched a rebrand as Winyah Dental Group in 2022. The change brings the same great, local service that all patients know and love while providing an updated tech-savvy atmosphere. With plans to break ground in the fall, a new office is being designed to meet post-COVID standards and safety measures as well as hospital-level filtration. It will also feature digital workflow and 3D printing of nightguards, dentures, surgical guides, and bleaching trays for same-day prosthetic deliveries.

We greatly value our patients' experience with our practice, and we ensure that these changes will be as easy and streamlined as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out, and we will be happy to assist you. On behalf of the Winyah Dental Group team, we thank you for trusting us with your smile!
